Inspection of loading facility for cleanliness and review loading history in the event actionable cleaning procedures are required. For multipurpose facilities, previous cargoes are documented during this process.
In order to comply with Australia Department of Agriculture, Water, and the Environment (DAWE) and New Zealand Ministry of Primary Industries (MPI) importing rules and regulations, annual audits are performed for the manufacturing facilities, intermediate and/or wharf storage warehouses.
This inspection includes but is not limited to: cooking temperature ranges; bio-organic contamination prevention; cross-contamination prevention; avian and rodent intrusion prevention; facility hygiene and housekeeping methods; site personnel compliance.
SEAPORT MARINE SURVEYS, INC. IS AN APPROVED 3RD PARTY DAWE SURVEYOR & MPI INDEPENDENT VERIFICATION AUTHORITY SURVEYOR
Cleanliness of vessel, barge, and rail cars is determined using DAWE/MPI bio-security protocols. Cargo shipments, if required, are sampled, secured, and shipped to an independent third party laboratory as ordered. Results of analysis received from the laboratory are then documented as necessary per contact or letter of credit.
Inspection of all holds after loading by walking over the stow and inspecting the undersides of beams, coamings, bulkheads, and frames utilizing appropriate lighting.
